Today we’re going to be talking about three things for you to consider if you’re thinking about getting your first hair system in 2024. Now, we’re beginning a brand new year, and for many people, that can mean brand-new resolutions, aims, and ambitions for the year ahead. For many people, they can be life-changing ambitions, and getting a hair system can be one of those things.

So as we dive into this, I’m going to take you back five and a half years to when I was first considering getting a hair system and actually how long I waited and procrastinated on this idea for so long. And it came from a place of fear because number one, I wanted to make sure I was making the right decision, but at the same time, I didn’t want to get it wrong. And I wanted to be fully prepared when I actually took the leap.
So the first tip I give to you is to do your research. I did a solid six months’ worth of research to make sure that this was the right approach for me. So I watched YouTube videos. I came across various manufacturers. I spoke to a number of clinics as well to get an idea of cost and budget and that kind of thing. Research is the most important thing that you can do to give yourself a head start when you’re thinking about getting your first hair system. Doing your research will allow you to be prepared for any eventuality that comes. So to give you an example, let’s say you decide to order a system from Lavivid. You order a system from Lavivid, but then you’re like, ”What do I do next?” Now, if you’ve done your research, you’ll know that you’ll need to get some accessories so that you can bond the system yourself. You’ll also have an awareness of the cost involved. As with anything in life, there is always a cost. And by doing your research, you’ll be able to know what your budget is. You’ll be able to know what kind of density you’d like. But these kind of things can really help you. I’d like to encourage you to use YouTube as a free platform for essential advice when it comes to Hair Systems. I want to make sure that you’re doing your research so you can get the best possible result and work effectively within your budget. I am here to help answer your guys’ questions. So this is why I want to use this platform to give you guys help and advice on your journey into wearing a hair system because it’s not a walk in the park. But once you know the ropes, it’s actually really easy.
Now, tip number two, and this is really important, you want to make sure that you’re able to find a hair system stylist or even a barber who lives near you who is willing to work with a hair system. Now, the preference would be finding a hair system stylist because they are trained to cut hair systems and to blend it with your natural hair on the sides, but also to cut your sides to make it look realistic. I’m aware that’s not possible for everyone, but a really easy way to do this is to go on Google and type in hair system stylist and then type the county or if you’re in America, the state that you are in, and it will usually pop up with a few hair system stylists within your state or your county. So for instance, I live in the southeast of the UK. What I would type into Google if I was looking for a hair system stylist is hair system stylist Southeast England hair system stylist Sussex or hair system stylist London, of course, if you live in a similar area to me. There’s also an option on Lavivid’s website, which basically lists a number of approved hair system stylists who are qualified and would be local to your particular area. So it’s worth checking out those two to see if there’s one listed that’s near you.
The last tip I would give if you’re considering getting a hair system in 2024 and revolutionizing your confidence and revolutionizing your life is to take action now. Obviously, I put tip one as research because you want to be doing the research before you take action. You don’t want to be going into this blindfolded. Once you’ve done the research, build up a couple of months of understanding as to what’s required for a hair system. You need to take the leap, and you need to take action now. At this point, quite often, people ask me, ”Well, Adam, I don’t know what base to go for.” And that’s totally understandable because I was in exactly the same situation as you were before. Now, you have two options here. One option is you can actually speak to the manufacturer themselves and say, ”Look, I’m completely new to this. What system do you recommend I begin with?” And they will be able to give you advice on how to go about it. So for me, the one that I always recommend is the Hybrid Base. So the first system that I got was perfect for a beginner because it’s realistic, but it’s also robust. And that was literally a poly perimeter and then lace in the middle. You can also get lace at the front if you want. But I really recommend at the very least having poly around the perimeter because when it comes to maintenance and cleanup, it’s easier to clean, it’s quicker to maintain, and it’s more robust when it comes to pulling off tape and applying new tape, which is what you want when you’re a beginner. Also, if you are new and you’ve got your hair system, go to my playlist and go to the tutorials playlist because that will help you learn how to attach a system and how to remove it. There are plenty of videos there.
