Can I swim, shower, or sleep with my hair system on?

Yes, you can sleep, swim, and shower with it on without any issues. However, chlorine in pools can be harmful and make the hair drier, so we recommend deep conditioning the hair after swimming to help refresh it.

How long does a hair system last?

It depends on the base design of the hair system and how well the wearer looks after their hair system. Thin skin base can usually last 2-5 months, depending on skin thickness. The thicker the skin, the longer the lifespan. Lace base and mono base can last 2-4 months, while silk base can last 4-6 months.

What if I order the wrong item?

Will anyone notice I'm wearing a hair system?

Not at all! LaVivid hair systems are designed to be completely undetectable. Our bases are made of ultra-thin, transparent materials that blend seamlessly with your scalp. We also design our hairlines to graduate naturally, just like real growing hair. People will simply think you got a great new haircut!

Do I need a salon to install it?

It depends entirely on your comfort level and whether this is your first hair system.

Most of our hair systems come with a standard base size and a default hair length that needs to be customized. For a first-time wearer, we usually recommend taking the new system to a local salon or barber. A professional can accurately cut the base to match your specific hair loss area and expertly blend the system's hair with your natural growing hair.

However, if you prefer a completely DIY approach, you can absolutely install it at home! We offer a specialized Pre-Cut Service where we cut the base to your exact measurements and pre-style the hair before shipping it to you. Once you have a customized or pre-cut system, routine maintenance—like removing the unit, cleaning it, and reapplying the tape or glue—is very straightforward to learn and do yourself at home.

How long should I have the hair system bonding on my head once I put it on?

The total time of bonding depends on factors like the adhesive used, your skin type, the climate, and your lifestyle. We recommend you only remove it and get it cleaned every 1-2 weeks to extend the lifespan of the hair system. If you don't sweat a lot and live in a dry climate, you can leave it on for a longer time, about 2-4 weeks. If you attach a lace hair system with liquid adhesive, we don't recommend you to wear it for more than two weeks in a row. If you wear it for too long time, the adhesive will penetrate through the lace which makes it very difficult to clean.

Can I style it with heat tools?

Yes, absolutely! Because our hair systems are made from 100% human hair, you can use blow dryers, curling irons, and flat irons just like you would on your own growing hair. We just recommend using a heat protectant spray and keeping your tools on a low to medium setting to keep the hair looking healthy and prolong the lifespan of your system.
