Must Know About Red Liner Tape

August 10, 2020

Some people prefer to bond the hair system on the head for one day and remove it after they get back home. So what bonding method to use for the daily toupee reattachment? Read on to find out.

Red Liner Tape

Red liner tape is the cleanest tape to remove. Its ideal for use on poly or skin but not recommended for lace hair pieces. The liner is red, but the actual tape is clear. Usually people use it for daily use. Red liner tape is better for short-term bonding such as between 3 days to a week.

Walker Sensi-Tak and Walker 1522 Clear tapes are both red liner tapes. You can find them in the following link: https://www.lavividhair.com/accessories_40486

Red Liner Tape Cannot be Used on Lace Base

Red liner tape wont stick on lace base. So it is only can be used on skin hair system bases. If you are wearing a skin base system, then apply red liner tape on it and it will provide you a 1 day holding time.

Use Red Liner Tape together with Extended-wear Tape to Achieve Long Time Holding and Easy Cleaning

A useful tip is to use both Ultra Hold tape and the Red Liner tape together to apply your hair system for combined benefits. As Red Liner tape is the easiest to remove, it’s ideal to be applied first as the base layer on the skin base. After the Red Liner tape is applied, apply a layer of extended wear tape like Ultra Hold Tape on the top of the Red Liner tape.

This way when you remove the hair system, and clean it, you can simply peel the tapes off without the tape sticking to the base.
